If your candidate believes that any information in their background report is inaccurate or incomplete, they may file a dispute with us for free. We understand that a report may affect a candidate’s eligibility, and we aim to complete our reinvestigation as soon as possible. Depending on the nature, scope, and source of the information being disputed, the dispute reinvestigation may take up to 30 days to complete (up to 45 days in limited circumstances).
We will promptly reinvestigate the specific information/records that the candidate is disputing. If the candidate needs assistance with filing their dispute, trained representatives are available and can be reached through the contact information below.
For HireRight, LLC Reports (United States)
If your candidate wants to dispute the accuracy or completeness of a background check that we provided to Uber, please direct them to the information and webform available here.

If your candidate believes that any information in their background report is inaccurate or incomplete, they may request the correction of their information by contacting HireRight’s Customer Service at 866-521-6995 or customerservice@hireright.com. HireRight will conduct a prompt investigation regarding the correction that they have requested. The amount of time this investigation may take will depend on the nature, scope, and source of the information that they are asking to be corrected. HireRight will notify you and your candidate in writing of the results of our investigation and any corrections made.
