Update - SSN Validation - Temporary Shutdown of NTIS Order Processing System - Public Record Service Delay Notification | Announcements

After further discussions with the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), we have confirmed that the planned Sept. 18 through Oct. 1, 2026, system shutdown applies only to NTIS payment processing functions and does not impact data fulfillment services that support SSN Validation and SSN Validation Plus processing.

What This Means for You • SSN Validation and SSN Validation Plus services will remain available • HireRight will continue processing these searches as normal • No service interruption or special customer action is required • Orders will not be closed as a result of the previously communicated NTIS maintenance window
